Akkeshi Distillery presents Shosetsu, the 13th release in their ongoing series and the 20th Seki of Japan. This release reflects the transitional time of year when snow just begins to dust the mountain peaks and the temperatures drop in the west. True to Akkeshi’s commitment to tradition and innovation, Shosetsu’s main malt is aged in Hokkaido Mizunara barrels, supported by a selection of other cask types, and enhanced by imported grain whisky.

Tasting Notes:
— Aromas: A vibrant nose with hints of candied lemons, pickled ume, and sweet grains.
— Palate: Bright and citrusy, featuring bitter orange peel complemented by smoky cedar.
— Finish: A complex blend of bitter lemon peels and rich vanilla cream.
