Product Description

Ancient Rome, 1st-4th century AD. An excellent bronze locking tweezer. Likely for cosmetic use, although it may have had medical applications. The coil at the end would have slid down the body adding tension and allowing the tweezer to be "locked" in place. Flat in profile with rounded ends. 2.5” long with nice olive-green to dark coppery patina. A rare type!
