A wonderfully-preserved large ancient Islamic bronze oil filler/dropper, c. 8th - 10th Century AD. The large, wide tail with a central 6-pointed Star of David! The bowl is deep and it rests on three short 'peg' legs, with a long nozzle. This was used in antiquity to carefully pour oil into a bronze or ceramic oil lamp. Mottled patination, losses to side flanges.
