Genuine Seymchan Meteorite Guitar Pick
Product Description
Seymchan is a pallasite meteorite found in the dry bed of the river Hekandue, near the settlement of Seymchan, in 1967. Its a rare type of meteorite which typically contains both metal and olivine crystals. A prominent Widmanstätten pattern is in evidence; this latticework is indicative of a slow cooling rate that provided sufficient time — millions of years — for the two metallic alloys to form their intricate intergrowth. It is diagnostic in the identification of an iron meteorite. *Stock photo shown, pattern may vary slightly because each piece is unique. 13.8g
