Being offered today is a VERY RARE high grade 1883 O (New Orleans) Morgan Dollar. This beautiful coin has monster toning all over it!!

This one of a kind IRIDIUM TONED COIN Morgan Dollar coin is graded by PCGS in MS 65.

What is Iridium in the world of coins? This occurs when the complete coin surface is toned. In this case the reverse of the coin is completely toned. This is why the reverse is featured in the front of the holder. The colors start making a dramatic change once the complete surface is toned. The colors get darker. This coin displays deep red, gold, purple, black, and brown. So, on this coin the toning spectrum is black. The most desired color of all.

Bowl Type of toning: This luster type is very scarce and highly desirable. On Morgans, the luster (and mirrors, which tend to also be present) curve up toward the rims creating a bowl-like effect. This combination of blazing curved luster with curved mirrors makes the color pop off the coin by a factor of ten, making them very striking in appearance.

On the obverse there are more signs of toning starting to manifest all over the coin. I can see blue, red, gold, and black. The entire face is starting to develop colors.
