Product Description

Being offered today is a beautiful set of 3 CONSECUTIVE $1 Dollar 1923 Large size series Silver Certificate Notes.

These notes are also have a slight ERROR. The last 2 digits and the letter “E” are all off center. This occurred because the number wheel didn’t rotate all the way.

All of the notes are in Choice Uncirculated condition. The key to collecting currency is all about the condition. Higher condition equals more value.

If you take a look at the pictures, you can see red and blue fibers in the notes. This was another way that the Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) prevented the notes from being counterfeited.

The serial numbers are:

A 15350341 E, A 15350342 E, A 15350343 E.

The color just pops off the notes.  The vibrant colors and well preserved paper add to the visual eye appeal. The margins are centered very well.

The notes will be encased in a long-term preservation holders.  The holder is made to enhance the presentation of the encapsulated note and protects against tampering.

This was the last large size US dollar bill issued.  This note was called the “Saddle Back” or “Horse blanket”. The Saddle Back name is due to the fact of the design on the back which looks like a horse saddle. The Horse Blanket name is due to the large size of the note.
