Glycine has proudly produced the finest timepieces from its factory in Bienne, Switzerland since its founding by Eugène Meylan in 1914. Meylan was an uncompromising watch engineer who strove for perfection and had a profound understanding of the possibilities offered by the technological advances of the time. In 1953, Glycine pioneered the design for the first “Airman” watch at the request of British pilot and commander, Chat Brown. The Airman immediately garnered icon status as the first multiple time-zone watch. More than 100 years after the creation of their first watch, Glycine continues to be celebrated for their precision, reliability, and rugged builds that can go the distance.
